Bay Area Wild Mushroom and Seafood combo foray class and foraged dinner postponed
It appears that the use of land is increasingly less available to the vast majority of the population. How about “Occupy State Parks”?

I’m teaming up with Kirk Lombard, and we’re going out and giving a class on how to forage wild mushrooms and various types of seafood. Then we’re going to make a dinner together, rustically cooked outdoors, combining the seafood catch and the mushroom bounty into a delicious, one of kind experience. I’m very excited!
Here is the description from the registration page:
Join Kevin Feinstein and Kirk Lombard for an all day excursion to the Sonoma County Coast! In the morning, you’ll get a crash course on wild mushroom foraging. We’ll spend several hours roaming through the amazing coastal forest, hunting for a variety of edible mushrooms. Later that afternoon, when the tide is lower, we’ll head over to the coast where we’ll learn all about local seafood gathering. Kirk’s team will learn how to catch crabs, poke for eels, throw out nets, and gather mussels and seaweeds. When finished, after the sun has set over the ocean, we’ll take the day’s bounty and provide a free meal, rustically cooked oustide! It’ll be a long and eventful day.
Please prepare for cold and wet weather and being outside. Even if sunny, the high grass will be wet, so dress accordingly. We’ll be doing a lot of walking, too. For the seafood portion of the tour, waders or rubber boots at least will be needed. Bring water and a bagged lunch or snacks for the day. Dinner will be provided!
